My Creativity Research Blog

When I looked back at my creativity notes, I noticed that I feel most creative when I am active, listening to sounds or music, or in a comfortable environment like my home or bed. I also enjoy imagining different things, like oceans, clouds, and other worlds. I found it interesting how much my surroundings can affect my creativity. When I feel stuck or restricted, it is harder for me to think of new ideas.

I started looking at research about how music, movement, and environments can affect creativity. The sources explain that our surroundings and activities can influence how we think and come up with ideas. This made me interested in learning more about how these things affect my own creativity.

Early Sources:

  • Relationships between physical environments and creativity: A scoping review.
  • The influence of music environment on conceptual design creativity.
  • Creativity in Motion, Examining the Creative Potential System and Enriched Movement Activities as a Way to Ignite It.

These sources gave me ideas, but I still want to learn more about how sports, music, and imagination work together. For my project, I want to explore how different environments and activities affect my creativity. I could write down how creative I feel in different settings, like listening to music, sitting in a quiet room, or being active. This could help me understand what works best for my own creative process.
