My research question is, “How do different environments affect my creativity and ability to come up with new ideas?”
The most difficult part of collecting data has been noticing how different places affect my creativity and keeping track of my observations. I have been paying attention to places like my bedroom, coffee shops, and parks, along with things like lighting, noise, comfort, and organization.
When reviewing my data, I noticed some early patterns. A clean and organized bedroom seems to help me feel more productive, while a quiet room helps me focus better. Being outside in nature or sitting in the sunshine also seems to give me new ideas, like planning dates or thinking of gifts for people. I also noticed that being in a coffee shop can inspire decorating ideas. Tomorrow, I want to look more closely at which environments help me come up with the most creative ideas and which ones help me concentrate.
One concern I have is making sure my findings are accurate because creativity can be different every day. I also worry that I might not have collected enough information to make a clear conclusion. To help with this, I plan to compare my observations and look for patterns that happen more than once. I hope my analysis will help me understand which environments work best for my creativity and why.
